The programme aims to develop management and leadership skills, knowledge, self-awareness, and behaviours. These include strategic decision making, setting direction, and achieving results, building, and leading teams, clear communication, developing skills and motivating others, fostering inclusive and ethical cultures, leading change, project management, financial management, innovation, risk management, business intelligence and developing stakeholder relationships.
Individual employers will set the selection criteria for their Apprenticeships. Most candidates will have A levels (or equivalent) or existing relevant Level 3 qualifications, and English, Maths, and ICT at Level 2. Other relevant or prior experience may also be considered as an alternative.

Delivery is by a mixture of face-to-face, distance learning, coaching mentoring, and training support. Learning will focus both on theories and the application of all aspects of management.

Certification: Learners who have successfully completed their End-Point Assessment receive an apprenticeship certificate from the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education. Learners will also receive their Degree from the University of Gloucestershire.
The University of Gloucestershire validate the degree that learners complete as part of the apprenticeship.
