Natalie and several of her mechanical engineering colleagues completed a 2 day 3D Printer Build and Operator Level Training with Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing Applications for Industry Overview with training provider 3D360. All of which have benefitted as the course aligns perfectly within their roles and projects they have been working on.
Enrolling employees onto courses via Digital Career Upskill Programme has benefitted Nuvia UK as they had identified there was a significant need to upskill their engineering and technical role-based staff (across all disciplines).
Natalie’s newly learned skills has enabled her to understand the potential 3D printing has in a manufacturing context and she will consider this in the future rather than defaulting to conventional manufacturing processes. Her fellow colleagues who completed training are applying their 3D printing skills to design prototypes for projects they are working on.
Nuvia UK have greatly benefitted as they can now provide real-life testing and analysis capabilities that serves as a useful ‘prop’ in technical meetings to aid in the visualisation of components assemblies they are building.
When asked about the impact of the training Natalie replied;
“The feedback through our client base has been incredibly positive!”
“Staff who have been on the training course now feel more confident specifying items to be manufactured using additive manufacturing”.
