Dovile was unemployed and a full-time caregiver to her seven-year-old son. She had wanted to start a career as a Teaching Assistant and had completed several courses before joining the Restart Scheme.
After being referred by her Job Centre, Dovile joined the Restart Scheme in April 2024 and was assigned Caron Hopkins from Workpays as her Job Coach. In their first meeting, Caron found that Dovile lacked confidence in her ability to secure employment due to her lack of skills and work experience.
To help build on her skills, Caron signed Dovile up for a range of courses to attend within the centre, such as Planning for Jobs, Job Applications, and Interview Skills sessions. After attending these courses, Dovile’s confidence increased.
Dovile began applying for School Lunchtime Supervisor roles to fit in with her childcare, and as her confidence grew, so did her interview skills. As a result of her hard work, Dovile managed to secure two Lunchtime Supervisor roles within the same week! Dovile has now started in her preferred role.
From her hard work and time on the Restart Scheme, Dovile has managed to secure meaningful employment. This has increased her confidence and motivation to continue her future plans, alongside her ambition to become a qualified teaching assistant. Well done, Dovile!
