May I begin this newsletter with a ‘Thank You’ to all School Business Professional (SBP) apprentices who remain working in schools supporting children of key workers and vulnerable children during these challenging times.
We certainly find ourselves in unprecedented times and we understand that as busy school business professionals you may often struggle with a work life balance, but never more so than in the current situation. We are pleased that so many of you are continuing your SBPA studies and thrilled to let you know that the first ever school business professional has fully completed her SBPA with Serco Education in April 2020. Well done Carol Stephenson!
There should be a number of SBPA workshops taking place during the summer term but due to Covid 19 we will be replacing the workshops with a series of online sessions. Find out more about the timings for these workshops as well as extended deadlines for assignments. - SBPA Study and Covid-19
Are you completing your functional skills (Maths & English) tests as part of your SBPA? Find out more about functional skills testing during the summer term. - Functional Skills and Covid – 19
Cognassist is a new tool that we are using in Serco Education to support our learners. It helps identify and support learners with specific, perhaps hidden learning needs to enable them to learn most effectively in whatever studies they are doing but should also help in their home life and their workplace. Want to know more? - Cognitive Assessment
Employed in a school, you will be used to the safeguarding requirements, but training providers also have a duty of care for their apprentices. We take this very seriously at Serco Education. - Safeguarding
