The Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Network is an inclusive place for organisations to come together to look at issues and solutions that ensure citizens can obtain the help they need when they need it. This ranges from awareness of organisations that support Participants overcome certain barriers to work, to the recruitment challenges employers face.

Organised in collaboration with Jobs22, the prime Restart Scheme provider for East Central England including Warwickshire, each call begins with attendees participating in an icebreaker and individual volunteers answering a set of “getting to know you” questions where we learn more about those who have joined the network event.

Topics discussed in these meetings include:

• Digital Inclusion presented by Coventry Council’s Inclusion Lead. Digital inclusion is social inclusion as it can improve people’s quality of life, as well as access to education and employment. Those that can be excluded, but not exhausted to, are: older people, the unemployed, homeless people, those living in rural areas and people whose first language is not English.
• Cost of Living resources available to support Restart Participants, including roadshow style events that took place in Coventry, Birmingham and Walsall in November 2022. More info here.
• The Employer’s Voice – Cadent Gas, Nuneaton Signs and Bell Group have previously joined the call to discuss recruitment challenges and opportunities on offer. Each employer expressed they are making a conscious effort to recruit those from different ethnicities, genders, ages, disabilities and barriers, and are looking for referrals of Participants that are suitable and capable for the roles they offer.
