Restart Scheme

Hardip boosts confidence through the Restart Scheme

2nd Sep 2024 Restart Scheme

Hardip joined the Restart Scheme in April at Workpay’s in Birmingham. Hardip was assigned Sandra McLean as her Job Coach. During Hardip’s first meeting on the Restart Scheme, she was feeling anxious, vulnerable and her mental health was quite low. Even though Hardip wasn’t in a good place at that time, she embraced all the suggestions and support offered.

Hardip attended a Plan For Jobs session, which looks at Health and Wellbeing, CVs, Job Applications, Interviews and Job Searching. With other participants on the session, Hardip very quickly became an integral part of the group. This helped build her confidence and self-esteem, working in a team and believing in herself enough to start moving forwards. Hardip was keen to look at courses and completed training around wellbeing, anxiety, depression, and mental health. Hardip also expressed an interest in computing and was enrolled on additional courses around this topic.

Hardip attends every session without fail and is sad that her 12 months are up. During her time on the Restart Scheme, there has been such a huge change in Hardip and she has blossomed, so much so that she has been applying for jobs and called last week to say she has an interview! This is something that 12 months ago may not have been possible without the support provided by the Restart Scheme. The Workpays team are proud of Hardip and know that she will soon find employment and be successful.

“10 out of 10 for the Restart Scheme. It has been great for me. After Plan For Jobs, my confidence increased and I am back to my normal self. I would not have been looking for jobs 12 months ago. However, since joining the Restart Scheme I started looking at jobs one at a time, and now I have an interview!”
