Restart Scheme
In the spirit of Valentine's Day, the Serco Restart Scheme hosted ‘Love Your Job Fair’ events across multiple Restart Scheme offices including Coventry, Cardiff, and West Bromwich. The heartwarming event, themed around the season of love, successfully connected Restart Scheme participants with potential matching employers, fostering new relationships and career opportunities.
The Coventry fair, held on Wednesday 12th February, saw over 50 participants engaging with a wide range of employers. Among them were Blue Arrow, Severn Trent, Accept Recruitment, Momentum Recruitment, Enhance Catering, Construction Coventry, and We Are Group.
On Thursday 13th February, Cardiff and West Bromwich hosted their fairs. Cardiff welcomed over 100 eager participants who had the opportunity to meet with employers such as Teacher Active, Gofal Cymru Care, Wilson Training, Logical Resources, Specialist Security, and Ategi - Support Services. Adding a touch of festivity, goody bags were handed out to participants as a token of appreciation.
West Bromwich saw 170 participants attending with a wide range of employers and training providers were present. This included SIPS Education, Cleantec, Argonaut Enterprises, TCMS Cleaning, NHS, Your Care, Coffee #1, AM2PM, Smart Solutions, and several training providers such as Refugee and Migrant Centre, Forward Step Training, EBCF, RMF Training, GTG, Smart Works, Embark/Fairway Homecare, and Blackrook Academy. The event was a success with 3 job offers to date, with 1 participant starting work straight after the fair!
