Restart Scheme
Raheel had been unemployed for some time when he started on the Restart Scheme. He had lost touch with what was needed to get into work, was lacking interview skills and had lots of employment gaps on his CV.
His Job Coach, Saleem Akhtar from Reed in Partnership, helped Raheel highlight transferable skills on his CV for the type of jobs he was applying for. Sally, his Employment Advisor, helped coach him with confidence building, CV writing, interview skills and job searching.
Raheel was also provided with smart clothes to wear for interviews. Raheel was successful in getting a job and is now working as a full-time Sales Assistant for a Birmingham city centre retailer.
